Ephesians 2:9 ‘Not of works, lest any man should boast’.
The salvation and justification of any redeemed being comes first through faith, not their dependence on the law or their own ability. We can infer that those who believe in themselves for a standard of pleasing God do not possess the faith they profess, instead, it is self righteousness.
If you cannot focus on Christ, it is easy to get lost in the rigours of religion and activities and many people mistake this for faith. Do not let the devil deceive you into loosing your faith and working in vain. Stand in the faith!
Talk to God: Father, help me stand my faith upon you, the solid rock in Jesus name, amen.
