Faith

Faith
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…Heb 11:1.
Things were hard for this family during the festive period, to the extent that to eat on Christmas day for them was a problem.
On new year’s eve, on the 31st of December, 2017. One of the daughters of the family made a statement, she said “Iyan ni maa je lola” meaning “it’s pounded yam I’m eating tomorrow” and she was like she had that strong faith and believe. Without having a single tuber of yam at all, neither was anyone bringing yam for them. It was the first day of the year and there was still no sign of rice not to talk of pounded yam, other members of the family started making jest of her. When it was around noon, someone brought wraps of pounded yam for the family even though they were not expecting it, they ate and even entertained visitors with it.
Faith is total surrenderance to God to do something. It’s just like boarding a vehicle to a destination, either you know the driver or not, you believe he knows how to drive well, you sit in the bus, and you even sleep off, that’s because you are sure he can drive well to your destination. God will help us in Jesus name.
