Topic: The Urgency of Purpose
Daniel 3:22 “Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.”
The instructions of God to vessels He uses are direct and plain, and importantly to note, urgent. Although, not all actions in fulfilling purpose require haste, hesitation is not an option when God sets us out to act.
Imagine such importance that was attached to the king’s order in today’s text, it took the lives of those who carried it out. How much more should you take the instructions of God urgent. You are working a part of His great purpose, never slack in playing your part.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always carry out your instructions as the highest priority in Jesus’ name.
