Colossians 3:5 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:”
While self, the man within may be trained, denied and comported, the flesh is a man’s component that needs to be ‘mortified’ before it may yield to God. This means, killing, while yet the physical essence remains, the willpower to sin contained in it.
The flesh is inclined to not pleasing God while the Spirit is otherwise, the winning party depends on whom your self agrees to follow. Ask yourself this, “which is winning?”
Talk to God: Father, help me to daily mortify my earthly members in Jesus name, amen.
