John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
It is expected of a vine to bear fruit, but no tree has fruits except through its branches. Notice how the Bible never pluralises the word ‘fruit’ when speaking of procreation. God wants us to replicate Him in others not bear fruits of different kinds.
There is an expectation that your offspring should carry your characteristics and nothing comes without a source. Abiding in Him means taking your source from Him for everything and then bearing fruit of the same source. Abide, draw, replicate!
Talk to God: Teach me Lord to draw my source from you and to bear fruit of your kind in Jesus name, amen.
