Topic: Why Men do not Pray
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
The words of Christ about prayers are clear, He teaches us to pray without ceasing. Even at this, people still find it difficult to pray. A primary issue we should examine is that of faith. How would one pray when he does not believe that God would hear him? A heart that cannot trust God to answer can only pray superficial prayers.
Beloved, do you go to God in prayers expectantly, or do you pray because you are encouraged to, not even sure if He would hear you, answer you or not. When you pray, recognise that God hears and is willing to answer, without this mindset, it would be difficult to call onto Him.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always acknowledge that you listen when I call, may this understanding spur me to pray the more in Jesus’ name, amen.
