Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
The blood of a being is significant to life and so, atonement for the soul is done by blood shed. It is a foundational principle of life.
According to 2 Timothy 2:19, God does not ignore foundations, the blood of Jesus had to be shed for man’s ultimate atonement. This was God’s sacrifice to save you. What have you sacrificed for Him?
Talk to God: Father, let my life never lose the significance of Christ’s sacrifice in Jesus name, amen.
