Isaiah 48:10 “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.”
Perhaps the part we prefer not experience in God’s making process is going through ‘the furnace of affliction’. There is no glory without a story and God will never allow us skip any part of the making process we should go through.
Do you want God to make you into His vessel and use you? This is not the general question usually asked during altar calls, it is a question of will, if you really want to be a part of God’s ‘inner caucus’, the fire of affliction is a must for all that would be His vessel.
Talk to God: Father, even through the fire, help me to still fix my focus on you in Jesus’ name, amen.
