Ephesians 2:9 “Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Every man who has been saved attained salvation as God’s intent (John 6:44), verse 8 of today’s opening text also makes us to understand that salvation is God’s gift, not of ourselves. It is therefore more of a reason to acknowledge God, not make boast in ourselves.
As you continue to walk in the faith, you begin to get deeper in the knowledge of God and the importance of the salvation gift. While people boast of what they have earned by their own selves, humbly remain in reference of God for availing you with such priceless gift as salvation which brings eternal life.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always remember to return all the glory to you for the gift of salvation in Jesus name, amen.
