1 Corinthians 14:12 ‘Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church’.
The Church Christ built is self-dependant and self-sustaining, Christ as the head of every part. And so, every gift of the Spirit is given that as a part develops, others benefit from it and grow likewise. All for one, one for all.
Carefully note from the opening text that, the excelling of any unit functioning with a gift is edifying the church. This applies also, to the gift of faith. God gives it to people for this purpose. Have you received this gift of faith? See to it that you do not desire or wield it only for your interest. Edify the church!
Talk to God: O Lord, help me to edify the church with every gift I have in Jesus name, amen.
