Topic: The Place of Rest
Exodus 23:12 “Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.”
God wants us to prosper and be in health (3 John 1:2), He recognises that we are humans, and so teaches us to rest as He did on the seventh day of creation, so that we may be refreshed.
The Bible is not against a believer’s time of rest. It is essential to eat, sleep and exercise, drinking a lot of water. You should never over-spiritualize your health, rest is important.
