Numbers 12:6 “And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.”
God spoke with men of the Old Testament in diverse ways, dreams, visions, prophecies, or any other means He wanted. Many of them only knew God by His acts and not His being, they only had a partial revelation, but God had a better plan in place.
Consider how difficult it would have been for those who were not priests and prophets to hear God, they needed to contact those who had access to Him. The privilege to know Him is just divine, thank God for Christ.
Talk to God: Father, help me to utilize the privilege of having access to you rightly in Jesus name, amen.
