Topic: The Heart of the Matter
Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
As we continue to learn more about purpose, it is important to consider what is the root of purpose in man, which is the heart. The heart of the matter is, indeed a matter of the heart.
You act always based on the content of your heart. That was why Daniel’s exploits in a strange land started from the purpose of his heart. Are you on a journey of purpose with God? Check your heart.
Talk to God: Father, circumcise my heart, prepare it to conceive purpose in Jesus’ name, amen.
