Theme: Remaining Saved
Topic: The Dangers of Losing Salvation 2
Ezekiel 33:13 “When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.”
Sin is a killer in its very nature, it drags men of high esteem in the mud and brings reproach (Proverbs 14:34). It also gives the devil a loophole through which he torments believers.
Losing salvation does not just happen suddenly, it is gradual, but it does so much damage in a little time. One of the lessons to learn from today’s text is never to trust in your own righteousness, lean on God.
Talk to God: Father, help me to remain standing in your righteousness in Jesus name, amen.
