Mark 3:13 “And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him”.
When Christ called His disciples, He chose those who would walk with Him on a special ministerial journey. The first call, according to the succeeding verse is to be with Him.
God would not send you out without preparing you for the journey ahead. This is why no one should attempt to skip the place of making. Let God brood over you.
