Micah 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Matthew 13:23 “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.“
Hearing the Word of God is important, understanding it is essential, practicing it is what makes a man fruitful. We are a product of whatever we allow to mold us, but cannot be molded by the Word until we act on it and it acts on us.
Your daily encounter with God’s Word is what connects you as a branch to Christ the Vine. Be dependent on the Word, bear fruit.
Talk to God: Father, help me to be to totally dependent on your Word in Jesus’ name, amen.
