Psalms 16:8 “I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”
Hebrews 12:2 tells us exactly where our gaze must be fixed if we want to overcome temptations, trials and tribulations, and live righteously, Christ Jesus must be our focus. The Psalmist understood this and rightly made the Lord his focus, this is what establishes a believer, not just the confessions of his mouth.
When you set the Lord before you at all times, He becomes your emulation in words, in thoughts, and actions. God will begin to reflect in the way you live, such that His glory is seen all over you. In this sort of relationship with the father, you can be rest assured you will keep standing.
