John 12:35 ESV “So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going”.
The light of God overcomes every sort of darkness, there is victory in the make up of every child of the light and darkness no longer has a hold on them, if and if only they remain in the light. Christ speaking in today’s text emphasizes on why we must walk in the light so darkness does not overcome.
Beloved, the victory is guaranteed so far the light of God is in you, but if you give in to darkness, it automatically becomes the ruler of your life. Think about this, fire is useful to us only when we are in control of it, but when it takes over, it consumes even those things we do not want it to touch, the only place darkness is meant to be is under you feet!
Talk to God: Father, I take charge by your light, let darkness remain ever under my feet in Jesus’ name, amen.
