Exodus 18:19 “Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:”
Yesterday, we learnt how purpose must be established by counsel; for everyone that would establish and fulfil purpose, counsel is inevitable.
Jethro saw how Moses judged Israel and gave a counsel without which he would have been wearied (vs. 18). Do not neglect the counsel of people God put around you in purpose, it could be dangerous!
Talk to God: Father, give me a teachable spirit that I may never neglect counsel in Jesus’ name, amen.
