John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Our salvation follows God’s intention for us to be saved, nobody is saved of His own accord, it is God’s purpose being fulfilled in us. The foundation is faith, the power is in His Spirit.
While salvation starts from the point of conviction to repentance, it is the Holy Spirit through His power that convicts a man of his sin and then repentance could follow. Thank God for the power to be saved.
