The great American Poet and Educator, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once said; “the heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. In order words, how long your light will burn solely rely on how much oil you have in your lamp.
For 2017 to end well and for 2018 to start on a great note, we need to invest some hours allocated to sleeping at night to serious communion with God – prayers! There is fullness of joy in the presence of God but we must bring down His presence before we can enjoy the fullness of joy and that is the aim of a man that seek God in the dead of the night.
Try and invest some quality time in prayers this season!
