Theme: Called, Justified, Glorified
Topic: Ordinary Men Prepared
Isaiah 49:1 “Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.”
Have you heard of a ‘call to glory’? It sounds like a tag you would see on an obituary, however this is a bitter truth about our baptism into a new life in Christ Jesus (see Romans 6:4). In the opening text, we see Isaiah speaking of His calling even from the womb, a predestination which is followed by preparation. See the following verses.
Everyone God has called, He has predestined them for His glory, there is, however, a process involved which cannot be jumped. Our baptism into death is what ensures that we can no longer glory in ourselves but in His Grace, have you been baptised into death and the new life?
Talk to God: Father, let the life I live now proclaim you and forever in Jesus name, amen!
