Isaiah 49:2 “And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;”
There is no calling without a making, and this is God’s process of preparing His vessels, He breaks, then makes them. It is clear to us that no man was born in righteousness (Romans 3:23), He is a God of perfection and would not take anything less, so there must be a making.
Look at the opening text once again, “He hath ‘made’…” and discover that there’s a sharpening. Every sharpening involves gradual removal of some part of the instrument being sharpened, meaning there is a pruning. You cannot escape God’s procedures if you want to be used by Him.
Talk to God: Father, teach me to patiently accept your process of making me in Jesus name, amen!
