Leveraging Rest

II Samuel 7:1-2 “And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.”

We sometimes ask God for what we please without considering what His will is. When God gives us divine rest, what we do with our lives still matters to Him. David was an example of those who intended to leverage divine rest to serve God better.

You might be asking God for what you want, have you ever considered what He wants? Divine rest is a privilege, how would you use it for God?

Talk to God: Father, may my life glorify you always in Jesus name, amen.
