Matthew 6:6 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

A very important lesson in learning to pray is that, while people often expect that prayers should only be in particular places, God is not constrained by space or time in answering prayers.

Further more, Christ talked about the ‘closet’, somewhere you can be alone to commune with Him, for Daniel it was his room, and at a point, it was the fish’s belly for Jonah. Where is your closet, do you have a personal altar? Learn to see prayer as an personal point of contact to God, be intentional.

Talk to God: Father, may I never neglect my secret place with you in Jesus’ name, amen.
