Matthew 26:36 “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder”.
Christ’s time drew nearer to be crucified, and this meant suffering, shame and death. But beyond that He saw the glory ahead, so the cross can also be described as a ladder to glory.
And as the time drew nearer, He kept praying. Whatever lies ahead of you, you can claim the upper hand through prayers, God will answer and you will be victorious in the end.
