John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
Peace can come from different sources, and the quality of peace is determined by its source. In today’s text, Christ tells the disciple of the God kind of peace; God is sovereign, He is everlasting, so is the peace He gives.
When you consider that Jehovah Shalom Himself is the peace referred to, you will realize how this peace can encompass you even if you are surrounded by a storm. He is able.
Talk to God: Father, help me to trust you as my peace in Jesus name, amen.
