Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
God created man in His own image, that is, we bear His resemblance. This is similar to the way physical traits are passed down to human offspring. It is clear, however that looking alike does not necessarily translate to living alike.
That is why God created you not only in His image, but also likeness. For everything created, there is a unique purpose. This also applies to you as His child: if God’s hands could have moulded you from dust, what are you doing with your hands?!
Talk to God: Father, help me to function as a carrier of your image in Jesus name, amen.
