Topic: Fruitfulness, a Necessity
Matthew 21:19 “And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.”
There was a fig tree in the above text, which carried leaves as though it was fruitful, alas, there were only leaves. In like manner, there are people who have the zeal and making of fruitfulness but bear no fruit.
No amount of knowledge about fruitfulness can substitute for being fruitful. Irrespective of how zealous a man is, God would still never endorse hypocrisy. If you have learnt any truth about fruitfulness, apply it: do not just carry ‘leaves’.
Talk to God: Father, please erase every iota of hypocrisy in my life in Jesus’ name, amen.
