Topic: Don’t Settle for Less
Matthew 4:8 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”
The devil while tempting Jesus showed Him glory, of things to perish. Exactly what men see and give up the eternal glory God has in plan for them. It is a spiritual shortsightedness to loose focus because of perishing ‘artefacts’.
Jesus did not engage in any argument or conversation with the devil (unlike Eve in the garden of Eden) He exercised His authority over him immediately (Verse 10). When the devil comes tempting, don’t let him persuade you to settle for less.
Talk to God: Father give me a heart to insist for the best only in Jesus name, amen.
