Genesis 27:40 “And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.”
One of the ways by which the devil torments men is making them subservient to people and situations they should dominate over. Today’s text saw Esau receive a curse instead of blessings, but there was a clause.
The word in today’s text says when he had ‘the dominion’ not just dominion: this refers to the power to overcome which he could only find in God. You as a believer have that dominion (I John 4:4), exercise it in prayers and break every yoke!
Talk to God: By the reason of Christ’s dominion in me, I break every yoke off my neck in Jesus name, amen.
