Genesis 35:5 “And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.”
The event that followed after Jacob’s household dislodged their weights was significant to their journey of covenant. The terror of God was upon them and this was important for them to carry on without being pursued.
When you let go of things that displease God, He defends you from things that could upset you. Put away the weights and carry your cross!
Talk to God: Father, let your terror be upon me in Jesus name, amen.
