Desire the True Glory

Topic: Desire the True Glory

Galatians 5:26 “Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”

The thirst for glory in every human being is indeed a reflection of his true being. The man God created was in the image and likeness of God and so God’s glory was in that make up. Since man lost that position, every life void of Christ will always want to fill the vacuum left seeking any sort of glory.

Our text today is an eye opener and a warning that if a man’s desires are not of God, the counterfeit of glory awaits, and one’s focus could easily be shifted. Have you considered the natural excitement you feel when people hail you? At times it becomes hard to even acknowledge God for your success, all these must be neglected. Follow after His glory!

Talk to God: Father help me to always seek after your glory in Jesus name, amen.
