Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;”
The countenance of a man’s heart influences the things he does, the way he appears, think, and talk among others: this is why God wants us to have a compassionate heart.
Mercy is usually extended from one in a more privileged position to another in need. God is never at anyone’s mercy but desires that you show it to your fellow men. Who have you shown mercy?
Talk to God: Father, help my heart to be compassionate in Jesus name, amen.
