I Samuel 3:18 “And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.”
At times, God reveals to us the possibility of a danger approaching so that we can forestall it, such was the case of Eli, a priest whom God showed Samuel what would become of him and his children (vs 11-14).
One would expect him to have asked for mercy, but he accepted the evil prophesied against him. Be careful when you are faced with negative revelations, do not consent to any danger ahead, pray!
