Matthew 10:38 “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”
Sometimes the cross of a disciple brings him sorrow, and other times, makes him happy, but there is an everlasting joy underlying, which is gotten when Christ is confessed Lord.
When you carry your cross, you draw strength from Christ’s cross. The cross is also a link to Christ, by this identity, true disciples are known.
Talk to God: Father, help me never to forsake my cross in Jesus name, amen.
