Genesis 17:1 “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”
Abraham had encountered God before the event in this opening text, he was called out of his father’s house (Gen 12:1) long before this. Yet, there was a call for perfection.
If Abraham had been seeing God for so many years, why did he still need perfection? God needs you to walk with Him in His own scheme before you can be covenanted to you. Walk with God.
Talk to God: Father, help me to walk with you in perfection in Jesus’ name, amen.
