I Samuel 17:45 ‘Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied’.
The challenge of Goliath brought fear and confusion to Israel such that even the hearts of the warriors melted (I Sam. 17:11). Situations may attempt to put us in such a position.
There was however courage in David whom King Saul tagged ‘a boy’ because David knew the power in the name of the Lord. His faith in that unfailing name stirred him up to victory. Do you remember to call on Him when challenges arise?
Talk to God: Father let the power in your name destroy every Goliath in my life in Jesus name.
