Genesis 4:9 “And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?”

As children of God, our calling is first to serve Him, others and ourselves last. We, following Christ’s example, should learn to live for God and put others before ourselves. Cain missed that point, hence the question in this opening text.

Being your brother’s keeper is not only a duty to them but also to God. If you love God, you will care for people whom He has created. The love for God would extend to people around you, love people, love God.

Talk to God: Father, help me to perform my duties to others diligently in Jesus’ name, amen.
