1 Timothy 1:19 “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:”
Salvation could described as a state of being saved, but not necessarily one which is unchangeable. Faith, being an important pillar of salvation, if faulted could change one’s state of being saved.
To remain saved, you need to guard your heart with all diligence, holding on to faith and looking unto Jesus. A careless Christian could gradually lose his salvation.
Talk to God: Father, please help me remain preserved in You in Jesus name, amen.
