I John 5:5 “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
We can ascertain from the scriptures that faith in Christ brings victory and importantly sets us in a place of dominion. The ‘world’ referred to here could mean different ramifications of life but we must not neglect that it means the realm of corruption, sin.
The Messiah was named Jesus because He delivers from sin (Matthew 1:21), unless you are free from sin, there can be no dominion. That is why faith in Him must be complemented by repentance and confession of sin. Have dominion!
Talk to God: Father, help me to have dominion on all sides in Jesus name, amen.
