Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Perhaps, the most essential need for life is food; at least considered to be by many. The ways of God are not ours, He knows our thoughts and our needs. God accentuates the importance of His Word in this opening text, food is not enough to sustain life.
You cannot dislodge the need to feed and God understands this; the weightier matter is what your Spirit feeds on. A spirit starved of the Word will feel its effect in the physical one way or the other. The Word is life!
Talk to God: Dear Lord, please expose my Spirit to the life in your Word in Jesus name, amen.
