Topic: The Role of Grace in Salvation 2
Titus 2:12 “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”
While verse 11 of today’s text is often more referred to, many skip this important part, which reveals grace as a teacher of righteousness itself. Here is a primary role of grace, it encourages us to deny ungodliness, it not a license to sin.
Beloved, you have received grace, God’s gift through faith, that is why you are saved. Abounding in grace makes you rely less on yourself for righteousness, hence your righteousness is established on the only righteous God, our father. Embrace grace, ask for more.
Talk to God: Father, help me to abound more in your grace and righteousness in Jesus name, amen.
