Matthew 27:40 “And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
As the Messiah suffered on the cross, there were many who taunted Him, trying to shift His focus from the mission. If Christ left the cross, humanity would have been doomed.
Salvation is never in abandoning the cross, rather, it is in holding on to it. Even when you are nailed to it and it is thorny, do not let your cross down.
Talk to God: Father, help me to always hold on to my cross in Jesus name, amen.
