Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

While carefully drawing the line between ‘self’ and the ‘flesh’, we should understand that both always tend to seek self comfort above other things. This brings about a conflict in many people, about how our flesh wars vigorously against the spirit and against any discomfort even if beneficial to the soul.

This opening text speaks of a ‘sacrifice’. There is really no way of overcoming the flesh unless it is crucified. A sacrificed body is the only one acceptable before God. If you are experiencing such inner battle about what God wants and what the flesh wants, it is high time a factor died for the other to live. Crucify flesh!

Talk to God: Father, help me to do all that I need that I may ever please you in Jesus name, amen.
