Ephesians 5:20 “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”
We have learnt how God’s children are meant to pray always; thanksgiving, as today’s opening text implies, should always be a part of our lives. The Word of God states this clearly.
There are so many things to ask God for, good health, finances, protection, long life, promotion and all that; have you for once paused to thank God for any of these that you enjoy now? Thanksgiving seems less important, especially with all your pressing needs but God deserves better.
Talk to God: Father, I am grateful for life, and for everything you give, be glorified in Jesus’ name, amen.
