Mark 10:21 “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”
Salvation is free, but following Jesus comes with its costs. There is no true believer that has not let go of a thing or the other to carry his cross to follow Jesus.
Christ told a wealthy man in today’s text to part with his earthly treasure to gain heavenly treasure, this is the way of the cross, impossible for the undecided, have you decided to go the cross way?
Talk to God: Father, help me to stand on my decision to follow you in Jesus name, amen.
