Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
The Beatitudes are a set of blessings Christ declared on believers in His sermon upon the mountain. As believers, when we meet certain conditions, there is a corresponding blessing.
The poor in the Spirit feel they need more and more of God. As Paul who prayed that he may know Him, even after years of devoted living. When you are poor in spirit, you will earn the Kingdom of Heaven.
Talk to God: Father, help me to be poor in spirit in Jesus name, amen.
