Matthew 16:24 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
We have come to a very important part of following Christ, self denial. Even though so many people had been around Jesus, He still said if they would follow Him, there is need for self denial. Meaning many are around Jesus but are not following for the lack of self denial.
Beloved, self denial is the way to ensuring you are not driven by the lusts of your flesh. Just as a follower of Christ depends on Him, a follower of self depends on the flesh. Are you following Christ?
Talk to God: Father, help me to overcome the lusts of self in Jesus name, amen.
