I Chronicles 22:9 “Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.”
I Peter 5:8 shows who the primary enemy of children of God is, the devil. When God gives a man rest from his enemy, peace and quietness follows, then there would be room for progress.
Because of God’s covenant with David, Solomon was made a man of rest, and that was manifested all his days as the king. You too can ask Him for rest from your enemy.
Talk to God: Father, give me rest from every deceit of the enemy in Jesus name, amen.
